I’ve answered some common questions below about the low content book business.
They are any books in which the customer fills in the content. Notebooks, Journals, and logbooks are most common.
Depends on how much effort you put in it some make a few extra bucks a month and some live off it. This is a long slow process expect to put in a lot of effort before seeing results. If you are looking for a “get rich quick” then this isn’t for you. 80% of the things you make will likely never sell one copy.
I got a basic break down of how to get started here.
I suggest getting started with notebooks and journals. Once you have the process down start looking toward logbooks. The reason is logbooks tend to sell a bit better and as with most things the more work they require the less competition there will be.
Amazon pays out its KDP royalties 2 months after the end of the month that you earned them. So if you earned $200 in December you would get that $200 at the end of February.
Each amazon marketplace makes a payment to you. So if your KDP royalties of $200 were $100 from amazon.com and 100 from amazon.co.uk, you would receive two payments.
Depending on where you live you may have some payment methods available. Payment methods include direct deposit, check, wire. The direct deposit has no minimum. Check and wire payments have a minimum threshold for payment from each marketplace.
Amazon doesn’t offer all payment options to everyone’s location, such as the United States only has access to direct deposit.
Here is a direct link to Amazon page about payment for more details.
Unfortunately, you can’t, this is something that can only be enabled by Amazon. They usually do it within a week or two. If you books still don’t have the look inside feature after a few weeks, you can send them an email.
